Like I mentioned in my last post, I
absolutely LOVE Easter. I am sure it has to do with the spring weather. In a way it feels like a fresh start, if that makes sense? Well, I have the opportunity to teach in primary the Valiant 9-10 class. And today we had a special Easter lesson to share. It was just me and one boy, Axel. I love this kid! He is always trying to be very good and is so smart. And there's this thing I do that when it is only me and one student, I turn the lesson so they are the "teacher" and I am the "student". The kids love it when they feel like they are in charge, it's funny. But today, as I was teaching him of the
Resurrection and how much Jesus has done for us, and how we can be with him, and how we can become better if we just turn ourselves around... I got chocked up. The spirit touched me so much! And let me tell you, with a 2 year old boy and teaching 9-10 year
olds, feeling the spirit
isn't always as strong as it has been in years past. I just wanted to much to hold on to that feeling! I just know how blessed I am to have this
Gospel. Jesus loves us all so much. He died for us so we can come back to Heavenly Father, if
that's what we desire. As I went through the Draper Temple
open house a few weeks back, I
noticed this painting in one of the rooms. (Minerva
Teichert, Rescue of the Lost Lamb) I instantly fell in love with it! And it just reminds me of even though people can be different, or
struggling, or no matter the circumstance... Jesus and Heavenly Father love us. He is always there. Anyway, today was a beautiful Easter Sunday!!
