This year we spent thanksgiving with my family. We were able to get most of the Hill reletives together. It was fun to watch Nick. It's fun to see his personality come out even more now that hes growing up. There are so many things we have to be thankful for. We have been blessed with so much.

OLDER OIL PAINTINGS & DRAWINGS
Yesterday I posted some oils that I had just painted, but it made me miss the ones I had done. So I went through the closet and pulled out some of my favorites. I have a lot of fun with oils. Hope you like them. Enjoy!

I took a painting class at UVSC and we would do critiques after every project. The strongest comment I would always recieve is I make a picture calm, and intense at the same time.

BEEN A WHILE
K, clearly not an artist, but I do love to paint. It has been quite a while. Actually over two years now but we went on a drive tonight up Hobble Creek Canyon and say the most beautiful sunset! It was really amazing. I told Clark I wish we had our camera with us. But the image has been in my mind. So I decided to pull out my oil paints and get it on a canvas. I'm much better at abstract so the sunset isn't the most amazing. (That way anything can be art right?) I have missed painting. I have actually done some fun stuff in the past. Maybe I'll post some of my other stuff when I can pull them out. Hopefully, I'll keep it up!

APARENTLY I'M A BELLA... GUESS I NEED TO READ THE TWILIGHT BOOKS NOW :)
You are observant, diplomatic and often aim to please. You are unaware of your
attractiveness and despite being uncomfortable with any form of attention, people enjoy your company. You can be impatient, stubborn and headstrong, but you are true to your word and mature for your age, often taking care of your family and enjoying a good book over chatting with girlfriends on the phone.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??
K, this is very much a venting moment. My sweet, adorable, most the time pleasant boy... IS AT TIMES THE PICKIEST PERSON I'VE EVER MET! Especially with his sleeping routine... It is rare that he will sleep anywhere but his own crib. And when we put him down, he needs his bottle in one hand, and in the other he holds his passy and the blanky tag. For some reason it's suthing to him to suck the tag under his passy. If he doesnt have one of those, he is a wreck. BUT TODAY, he wore out his last pacifier. Now, we had seen this coming so we bought another pack. Little to our knowledge, we bought size 2 instead of size 1. Nick will not take it for the life of him. He has been screaming for just over an hour 1/2 now. I've tried everything! I tried holding him and rubbing his back to even calm him down, from this obvious tramatic and heartwrenching experience. Singing to him. UGH! What a joke. Ok, time to stop venting. Wish us luck!Thursday, November 13, 2008
JESUS LOVES YOU
We have a picture of Jesus in our front hall and the one posted here above Nick's crib. When we bring Nick past them we tell him who it is and that Jesus loves him (especially when he's fussy and such). Well, today Nick had a fussy moment and I told him "Nick where's Jesus? Jesus loves you so much." And he walked to the picture of Christ on our wall and pointed to him and said "Jes"! Oh, it filled my heart with so much joy!! There's just something about little children and Christ that just makes you happy. My little boy knows who Jesus is!

{ANALYZE THIS}
Have you ever had a recurring dream? I have. Actually, I've had a few in my lifetime. The first time I was young, around the age of 12 or 13. Then my second set was the end of high school. And now it's happening again. I have always had an interest with how the mind works, why people do the things they do. Why they feel the way they feel. But dreams have always been a mystery. Have you ever woken up and thought to yourself "why the heck did I just dream that?". Do we have any control over our sleepy thoughts? Do they have meaning to us in our lives? I think they do. Maybe not all dreams. But for sure, some do. Clark has an old book on dreams that I've been looking through a bit. "The Handbook of Dreams" by Judith Millidge. In the book, she says many people experience recurring dreams over weeks, months to even years. She goes on to say that these dreams are probably symptomatic of an existing problem that the unconscious is trying to resolve. I've pretty got this dream of mine figured out. And the one in my high school years. But my younger one still boggles my mind. But thats a story for another time. Anyway, that's it for my thoughts for now.Tuesday, November 4, 2008
