Nick is super funny.  He has always, ALWAYS loved vehicles.  Anything with wheels and moves is Nick's thing.  So Nick and I were playing with a cement truck and dump truck.  It was my turn to fill up the dump truck, and he was looking so intently at the cars.  And when I was done filling it up, Nick grinned and said...

"That was INCREDIBLE!!"

Oh, I love it.  It is so fun to live in a little kids world.  I am so lucky to have my big boy who has such a fun imagination.  I love him with all my heart.

My boy cracks me up. We are looking at all sorts of cars/trains/trucks, anything. And Nick saw the picture and got a big grin and said "Oh boy, following the leader!!" It made me laugh.

Nick's Official First Crush

This has been so cute. Our first sign of a crush was when we got Nick's class pictures back. And Clark and I would go over each classmate in the class, and the only one he would tell us about was a girl named Carly. It's been so fun. Almost every time he plays, Carly is involved. He will pick her up on the bus, or go to Walmart with her. It is so fun to see Nick grow in this different way.

Such a fun Christmas

We were lucky to spend the holiday with both sides of our family. It was so fun to see everyone! And Nick was ADORABLE on Christmas morning, after every present he opened he said in the sweetest voice...

"Oh! This was so nice of Santa to bring me this!"

And of course, that made Clark and I so happy. It was a very good Christmas, and hope that you all had the same.

The other day we Nick was noticing our wedding pictures. And so I asked him if he was going to get married. And he said yes. :) So I asked him what girl he wanted to marry... He thought for a minute then asked, "Is (Aunt) Brittany a girl?" And I told him she was. And he said "I want to marry Her". It was sooo cute!!

And then today, while Clark was away to work, and Nick and I were playing. Out of the blue he said "Daddy loves Me". And I think that was the sweetest thing in the whole world. That's when you know that you are an amazing Dad.

We have such a cute boy, and it is so fun to have him growing up. We love you Nickolas!!

Nick just called me "Mommy Ray". He totally makes me laugh.

HELLO THE FROGET

So, the past few days Nick has been singing this tune that we could not figure out what or where it could have come from.

"Hello the froget, hello the froget, hello the froget

But after a while of listening to the tune of what he was singing, we realized he was singing "Follow the Prophet"

And we just laughed how his silly words got mixed up and how he hears things sometimes. Nick listens to the Primary songs every night as hes going to sleep and its so fun to hear him singing them during the daytime. What a cutie we have.

It was sooo cute! He even got this pondering look on his face. Oh he makes us smile.

STARS

Nick sat down with me today and wanted to read his Planet book over and over. He kept looking at the pages and pointing at the stars. Then he looked at me and said, "Stars. What a mess." It was so cute! He is getting so smart. :)

SOMETHING CUTE

So, Nick's Uncle Will had his birthday yesterday. All day yesterday Nick was singing happy birthday to him, but how he sang it was "Happy Birthday Wheels". Nick has been fascinated with wheels lately. It is so funny how kids connect things that adults just don't even think twice about anymore. Love it. It was pretty cute. Anyway, Happy Birthday Will!

Nick is cracking me up lately. His new song lately is "Happy Birthday". Today Nick started throwing things around, so of course he went to his room for time out. And he starts singing at the top of his lungs...

HOW MUCH HE LEARNS...

My little guy cracks me up all the time. Last night was no different. I was busy finishing up the laundry and Nick kept saying "Mama, Mama, open toys." And I kept putting it off saying "In a minute, Mama's almost done." That did not satisfy him at all, so he started tugging on my arm. And I told him "Nick, hold on". And he got this annoyed look on his face and said "HONEY". Hahaha, guess he learned that one from me. It made me laugh so hard! What a cute kid I have :D

JESUS LOVES YOU

We have a picture of Jesus in our front hall and the one posted here above Nick's crib. When we bring Nick past them we tell him who it is and that Jesus loves him (especially when he's fussy and such). Well, today Nick had a fussy moment and I told him "Nick where's Jesus? Jesus loves you so much." And he walked to the picture of Christ on our wall and pointed to him and said "Jes"! Oh, it filled my heart with so much joy!! There's just something about little children and Christ that just makes you happy. My little boy knows who Jesus is!

LEARNING WORDS, FINALLY!!

Nickolas is now just starting to form the words that we say. He's pretty funny. Most of the time he says the first half of the word then gets distracted. Anyway, he is trying more and more to talk and I just think it's so fun. Here are a list of the words he's working on...
