~4 YEAR ANNIVERSARY~

Thanks Honey for making these last 4 years amazing!!

I love you so much!!

(It was actually yesterday, but I didn't get around to blogging till now :P Thanks Grandma & Grandpa for watching Nick for us! He came home and took a long nap... and is now up playing at 11. Haha I am glad he had a good time!)

MOVING, MOVING, MOVING!

We are moving to Eagle Mountain in like a week! We just started thinking about it like a month 1/2 ago and everything just worked out so smoothly. We are excited to be in this area. There are loads of kids for Nick to play with. Parks everywhere! And no stores so I wont spend money! Hahaha. Nah, we are very excited for this change and can't wait for us to move.
This is our area.

We have the bottom level with the french doors.

LIVING PLANET AQUARIUM

It has been a while since we have gotten out and done something fun. Clark has heard about this place for a while now, and decided we should check it out. It was such a blast!! Nick loved it! It was a perfect activity for a rainy spring day.
Nick was pointing at everything.

Sharks!!
He was so intrigued.
Daddy and Nick.
Mommy and Nick.
He was so cute.
He loved playing all around.
Haha, just a cute pic of Nick and I. :P

~EASTER SUNDAY~

Like I mentioned in my last post, I absolutely LOVE Easter. I am sure it has to do with the spring weather. In a way it feels like a fresh start, if that makes sense? Well, I have the opportunity to teach in primary the Valiant 9-10 class. And today we had a special Easter lesson to share. It was just me and one boy, Axel. I love this kid! He is always trying to be very good and is so smart. And there's this thing I do that when it is only me and one student, I turn the lesson so they are the "teacher" and I am the "student". The kids love it when they feel like they are in charge, it's funny. But today, as I was teaching him of the Resurrection and how much Jesus has done for us, and how we can be with him, and how we can become better if we just turn ourselves around... I got chocked up. The spirit touched me so much! And let me tell you, with a 2 year old boy and teaching 9-10 year olds, feeling the spirit isn't always as strong as it has been in years past. I just wanted to much to hold on to that feeling! I just know how blessed I am to have this Gospel. Jesus loves us all so much. He died for us so we can come back to Heavenly Father, if that's what we desire. As I went through the Draper Temple open house a few weeks back, I noticed this painting in one of the rooms. (Minerva Teichert, Rescue of the Lost Lamb) I instantly fell in love with it! And it just reminds me of even though people can be different, or struggling, or no matter the circumstance... Jesus and Heavenly Father love us. He is always there. Anyway, today was a beautiful Easter Sunday!!

EASTER EGG HUNT

Easter is my favorite holiday!! It always has been. The Easter Bunny visited Grandma and Grandpa's house, so they invited Nick over to come pick up the eggs! He had sooo much fun! He really got it this year. Nickolas cracked me up too, cuz he found out a very effective way to open the eggs... Just throw them on the ground, right? It was too cute. Hope everyone enjoys the Easter holiday!

Had to steal a picture with my little guy :)

SPRING HILIGHTS

So, I have been craving hilights for a few months now and finally got around to doing it. My cousin Shayla did an awesome job!! Thanks Shay!

FINALLY ON THE CHARTS!!

Well, it has been a long time coming. Nick has his first appointment with his new Pediatrician, Dr. LaTer. And we loved him! He was so great with Nick (even at Nick's fussiest moment...). The good news is Nickolas is finally on the charts for growth!! HURRAY!! His weight is now in the 6th percentile, and his length is in the 3rd percentile. It's hard to believe our 4 lbs 7 oz little guy is so big!!

NICK SIGNING AND TALKING

SUMMER SANDALS

Nick cracks me up! He has never really been possessive of anything. But we bought him sandals yesterday and I tried them on him today. And he will not take them off now!! He takes after his Mom in that way I think ;) I love them. They are so cute on my little boy.

MAN, I'VE BEEN BAD AT BLOGGING LATELY...

I used to be so good at keeping up on my blogging. Just been lazy lately I guess. Anyway, not a whole lot new at all. However we have been really good. I just have to tell you, Nick has been so cute with his signing lately!! He is doing really well with the words we have been working with him. It fun too, cuz not only does he sign, he almost always says the word! Which is awesome, because that is what we have been working for. The Kids on the Move is still working with us, and we have really been pleased. We are always excited to see what else we can do to trigger his speaking. So far the words he can sign are More, Please, Thank You, Food, Water, Drink, Open... I think that's all. But it has really been fun watching him learn.

Anyone a Twilight fan? Well, I like OK. Good enough to buy the movie. Clark was even sweet enough to finally watch it with me!! Last week I had watched it 3x! It is a really cute movie. And I promise, one of these days I will read the books... Have to admit though... Edward didn't steal my heart away. I absolutely loved Bella's character though!!

So, other than my Twilight week. Last week was also really sunny and warm!! Nick and I got out everyday sometimes even twice. He loves the park, and just enjoys playing outside. He loved going outside and playing with his toys outside. We got him a little bike with training wheels for him. It is so tiny its really cute! But he is still trying to figure that out. We have had a lot of park dates, and been on many walked with our cute neighbors. Poor Nick already has his first tiny sunburn of the year... I need to be a better Mom! This week has been quite cold and wet. It even snowed again the other day. So, hopefully it isn't too long before we get our nice weather back. I so have Spring fever, that's for sure.

This is a picture we took of Nick today. I absolutely love this kid in overalls! We decided to get him ready for summer, so we got him some cute shirts and shorts from Target. It's funny though, Nick is now 2 1/2 years old. And 18 month shorts fit him perfect still... The 2 year tops still look big. When we brought him to the doctor for his Strep a few weeks back he weighed in at 24 lbs. Which we are happy for! He will probably still be tiny for a while, but he is catching up slowly. Nick loves to carry anything over his shoulder. Especially Mom's purse and the camera bag.
Aren't my boys cute?? I've always thought so ;)

So, I want to know what people think... I have been thinking for a while that I may want to highlight my hair again. It has been a few years since I have lightened it. These are the only pics I have with it lightened. Anyway, just wondering if I should go light or dark again.

Well, that's pretty much it for now. I will try not to be such a slacker and pull my camera out more. :)
