OLDER OIL PAINTINGS & DRAWINGS

Yesterday I posted some oils that I had just painted, but it made me miss the ones I had done. So I went through the closet and pulled out some of my favorites. I have a lot of fun with oils. Hope you like them. Enjoy!
This was my absolute favorite, and funnest project I have ever done.

I took a painting class at UVSC and we would do critiques after every project. The strongest comment I would always recieve is I make a picture calm, and intense at the same time.

Not really a favorite. Just something different I did.

This one was inspired by drawings I had done. It took many months to finish, and it turned out fairly okay. I did a lot more with the textures than you can see here though.

Just to give you an idea of how big it was.

This is the first of the violin/guitar collage, and actually my favorite of the ones I've done.

Here's another. It's been a while since I've drawn too. Practice makes perfect right?

BEEN A WHILE

K, clearly not an artist, but I do love to paint. It has been quite a while. Actually over two years now but we went on a drive tonight up Hobble Creek Canyon and say the most beautiful sunset! It was really amazing. I told Clark I wish we had our camera with us. But the image has been in my mind. So I decided to pull out my oil paints and get it on a canvas. I'm much better at abstract so the sunset isn't the most amazing. (That way anything can be art right?) I have missed painting. I have actually done some fun stuff in the past. Maybe I'll post some of my other stuff when I can pull them out. Hopefully, I'll keep it up!
Hobble Creek sunset.

Totally random. Just using up the extra paint. (So expensive!)

Don't really know what this is. I just started painting and this is what turned out. It's my favorite of the day.

TO MY LOVE

I just wanted to take some time on this Valentines Day to express how I feel about my Husband. I have been so blessed these past (almost) 3 years to have such a wonderful, caring, thoughtful husband. He has done so much to support our little family. I am so proud of all he had accomplished and what he will in years to come. Nickolas adors his dad! When Clark comes home from work, Nick is at the window waiting for him. Clark is a wonderful father. He plays with Nick all the time. He even takes morning duty every so often! He has always taken the time to let me know how much he loves me. I cannot imaging anyone being a better fit for me. I love you Clark-o!
