SPUR OF THE MOMENT GET AWAY

Well. We had been planning on going camping all week. But the day we had planned on it was raining like crazy. And I was totally sad. But around 1 or so, I decided I wasn't going to let the rain stop us. So we packed up and make a quick stop at the grocery store and we were on the road. We decided to go to Moab, and I am so glad we did. Look at the views! Luckily we had missed the rain there, but it was still pretty damp. The night wasn't that cold, and the next day was beautiful!! I am lucky to have a sweet Hubby who can deal with my constant change of plans. We had a really fun time.

One of the amazing views.

We stayed at the Dead Horse campground.

Nick had gone to the dentist right before we left, and this green balloon was BRILLIANT. It kept him happy for so long. He was laughing and content the whole ride there.

OREGON TRIP - PART 1

Oregon in such a fun place to get away! Highly recommended. Clark and I decided to start a tradition that when we go on vacation, we will pick a place that neither of us have been before. And turns out, Oregon was our first pick. Thanks to all the friends and family who helped us fill our trip with fun ideas and activities!
CANNON BEACH

Feet in the sand is the best!

Walking with Daddy.

Nick was sooo cute. He ran from the waves.

Looking at shells with Mommy.

Cute little family on the beach.

This place was so fun!! This is a way better shot than we could get. (Not our pic)

Nick LOVES aquariums. So much more than zoo's.

Huge crab.

NEWPORT MARINA
Restaurant on the boat.

Trying to find the seals we could hear. Hahaha.

Nick really did have a good time... ;)

Loads of boats.

YAQUINA HEAD LIGHTHOUSE
This was a lucky find.

Such beautiful shots.

Good thing Clark is so good at the panoramic shots!

Farther view.

Surfers waiting for their waves.

Gorgeous.

Long day. And a new shark for Nicks collection.

Nick learned he loved licorice and pretzels together.

OREGON TRIP - PART 2

ROSE GARDENS

Amazing color.

Nick loved the fountain, of course.

Blegh. Just me.

Clark and I.

I LOVE white roses. :)

ASTORIA
We stumbled across this place on accident and we were so glad we did. We finally got our sit down fish meal with Nick in a good mood! Not only that, we were lucky to get a seat with a view overlooking the water and bridge. It was so fun! Afterwards we walked on the walkway behind our restaurant.

Behind the restaurant. The driver even waved at Nick. I love people who are friendly with my boy.
View from the walkway.

Nick on the tracks.

View of the river and bridge.

Lovely ;)
OREGON COAST
We took a day and drove along the coast.

Look at that green!! Nick loved the tunnels.

Shot of us... somewhere?

Beautiful.

Oh, I miss it already.

TIME TO GO HOME
My boy makes me laugh. After a long day, I look back at him. He had taken off his shoes and put his socks on his hands and was ready for bed.
RANDOM STUFF
I LOVED all the different churches I saw! It is so different from Utah. I fell in love with this one for some reason. I wish I would have taken more shots of the different styles I saw. Oh well, next time.
Oregon has loads of windmills!!

Hehe, and on every corner you can find this! (Not really) But I couldn't bring myself to eat there. But it made me laugh every time.

As we were driving through the state we saw many marshmallow fields. And I had always wondered where marshmallows come from... :)
