SPILL-PROOF?
Want a good laugh? On the outside wrapping of this item, the label reads...
*If shaken or squeezed, drips or leakage may occur. After multiple
dish washings, spill-proof performance may deteriorate.
*If child holds cup upside down, a few drops may com from the spout.
Pretty much there should'nt be spill-proof anything for toddlers. So, we have been desperately trying to find some sort of sippy cut that Nick will just fall in love with. Haven't found one yet. I know, I know, I was supposed to wean him off the bottle like a year ago. But we have such a strong willed little boy... (He will only take warm milk in a bottle, not cold milk in a bottle. He will not take warm milk in a sippy. And sometimes cold milk in a sippy is okay. Needless to say, I have been terrified! It would have been loads easier a year ago too). ANYWAY~ So we have tried and failed with two other types of cups before we saw these. It said "spill-proof" so I though we were quite lucky. So I was really excited to try them out and sure enough, he would not take the warm milk in the cup. So I tried the cold milk in the cup. Not today. So I laid him down in his crib (which he can now put his leg over by the way... so I may have another post on how to go to the "big boy bed"). But I laid him down with his warm milk. A few minutes later he was not sleeping and not calming himself down. So I went in to help him and guess what?? Nick had thrown the sippy on the ground and the lid popped off! Milk all over the carpet! Oh, so sad. Anyway, hopefully this is just a phase and he will get used to them, cuz I think I'm tired of buying so many different cups. He can adapt, right? I do enjoy each step Nick goes through as a parent. I wouldn't have it any other way!

OUR WEEK LONG CHRISTMAS (PART 1)
We had such a fun Christmas this year. It was perfect, with lots of white soft snow. Nick is at the perfect age. He loved every minute of it. Santa actually came to our house a few days early this year. (He must have heard of Clark's work schedule ;) Monday we opened our presents...
Which he loves! He plays with it non-stop.
And his present from Mom and Dad. (Which we opened a day later. Don't know why we didn't just do them all together?)
This was inspired my his cousin Easton. He has this toy that you can spin and it will sing the alphabet. It also goes through letters, animals and sounds. It's a brilliant toy! Nick has had so much fun with this one also.
Nick wanted to help Dad out.
Clark got a few new clothing items this year. A hat, shirt and pants. I need to be more creative next year... (Sorry, Honey! Eyes closed...)
Now, Clark has ALWAYS been such a thoughtful gift giver. He always impresses me each year. Now, he has had this idea for me for 2 years now. So he was very excited to give it to me this year. I had no idea what it was. Now, it came in a 2 part gift. One was a folder wrapped up. And the other a huge box. He would always tell me, once I see what is in the folder I would know what was in the box...

HAVE YOU HEARD THIS SONG?
So, every time Clark and I hear this "Dominic the Donkey" song we can't help but crack up. So I was telling my family about it and singing it, even making the donkey noises... And just made another embarrassing moment. Ha ha, well hope you have a good laugh!

OH, HE MAKES ME LAUGH!
Nick has been such a happy boy all day today. He was so stinking cute at dinner tonight. We had made up some spaghetti and cut his into little pieces like we always do. But tonight he noticed us twirling our spaghetti on our forks! So when he would scoop his up, he would also twirl his fork. It was so cute watching him.
After dinner we just played with him in the living room. We grabbed one of his balls are were rolling it between the 3 of us. After a while he picked it up and started tying to dribble it! Clark and I looked at each other in amazement. This is something we haven't taught him before! We have taught him to throw, and how to kick the ball. So we got a kick out of that tonight. Also, we noticed that when he was trying to dribble he was using his left hand. Interesting, because he uses his right hand to color and eat. Anyway, I just love how my boy is growing!
