TRIP TO THE ZOO

Clark had a long weekend so we decided to go to the zoo. It was a little chilly but so much fun! It is so fun to see Nick's face light up when he looks at different things. Although I was sad we couldn't see the Kangaroos this time. Oh well, next time... It was a fun day.

MY FAVORITE SCRIPTURE

32 Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

33 These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

St John 16:32-33

When I was in High School my Mom found out she had an aneurism. It was a very scary time for our family. She had many surgeries with gifted doctors. Some surgeries went well, some did not. It was at this time when I discovered this scripture. It gave me much comfort to know that even though hard times will come, we can "overcome the world". Even though this experience happened years ago, this scripture is still close to my heart.

YOU ARE MY SUNSHINE

You are my sunshine
My only sunshine
You make me happy
When skies are gray
You'll never know dear
How much I love you
Please don't take
My sunshine away

SPRING TIME!!

Spring is my favorite time of year. The hint of warmth right after a long few months of snow is the best feeling in the world! Nick and I have been doing a lot of walking. We live just a few blocks away from the hospital fields, so we stroller over there and play and play. He really enjoys walking all around and discovering things outside his little world indoors. He is fascinated with the cars all around. He watches each car as they drive by. So here's to a fun spring!

18 MONTHS OLD

As a 18 month old...

  • Nicks new favorite activity is to go on walks. He loves the fresh air and holding on to Moms fingers.

  • Nick is also such a great basketball player. I think he is a natural. Every time he makes a basket he claps and gets a big grin on his face.

  • Loves to make messes, then clean them up!

  • Waits by the window for visitors then jumps up and down when he sees a familiar car or face.

  • Nick is really good at waving goodbye.

  • And steals hearts away with his blowing kisses.

  • Loves to eat everything... when he wants it... His favorites foods are yogurt, hot cereals, potatoes and always pretzels for snacks.

  • Bath-time is his favorite time of day.

  • Giving high fives.

  • Turns on and off all the lights.

  • Nick really enjoys playdates. He will do great in Nursery next week!

  • Really likes making noise with toys mom has created for him.

  • Nick loves car rides.

  • Dancing to all the crazy music his mom listens to. His favorite to boogie out to now is Van Morrison!

  • Enjoys the time he has with his Grandparents, Aunts and Uncles.

  • Climbing on everything he can! Couch, table, chairs, tv stand, drawers... you name it.

  • Nickolas can growl! Don't ask me how he learned that one. It is the funniest thing to hear.

  • Play pica boo with mom and dad.

  • Gets excited every time he sees a fan, moving or not.

  • Coloring on his big coloring pad. Cries everytime we put it away.

TO MY LOVE

I just wanted to take some time on this Valentines Day to express how I feel about my Husband. I have been so blessed these past (almost) 3 years to have such a wonderful, caring, thoughtful husband. He has done so much to support our little family. I am so proud of all he had accomplished and what he will in years to come. Nickolas adors his dad! When Clark comes home from work, Nick is at the window waiting for him. Clark is a wonderful father. He plays with Nick all the time. He even takes morning duty every so often! He has always taken the time to let me know how much he loves me. I cannot imaging anyone being a better fit for me. I love you Clark-o!

After 6 years of owning my Saturn it started acting up on us. We decided to purchas another vehicle rather than spending money to fix it up. We fell in love with a 2005 Nissan Sentra. They are a nice ride, comfortable and runs well... (Not to mention 4 doors!!) We love it...
