~HAPPY THANKSGIVING~

This year we spent thanksgiving with my family. We were able to get most of the Hill reletives together. It was fun to watch Nick. It's fun to see his personality come out even more now that hes growing up. There are so many things we have to be thankful for. We have been blessed with so much.

OLDER OIL PAINTINGS & DRAWINGS

Yesterday I posted some oils that I had just painted, but it made me miss the ones I had done. So I went through the closet and pulled out some of my favorites. I have a lot of fun with oils. Hope you like them. Enjoy!
This was my absolute favorite, and funnest project I have ever done.

I took a painting class at UVSC and we would do critiques after every project. The strongest comment I would always recieve is I make a picture calm, and intense at the same time.

Not really a favorite. Just something different I did.

This one was inspired by drawings I had done. It took many months to finish, and it turned out fairly okay. I did a lot more with the textures than you can see here though.

Just to give you an idea of how big it was.

This is the first of the violin/guitar collage, and actually my favorite of the ones I've done.

Here's another. It's been a while since I've drawn too. Practice makes perfect right?

BEEN A WHILE

K, clearly not an artist, but I do love to paint. It has been quite a while. Actually over two years now but we went on a drive tonight up Hobble Creek Canyon and say the most beautiful sunset! It was really amazing. I told Clark I wish we had our camera with us. But the image has been in my mind. So I decided to pull out my oil paints and get it on a canvas. I'm much better at abstract so the sunset isn't the most amazing. (That way anything can be art right?) I have missed painting. I have actually done some fun stuff in the past. Maybe I'll post some of my other stuff when I can pull them out. Hopefully, I'll keep it up!
Hobble Creek sunset.

Totally random. Just using up the extra paint. (So expensive!)

Don't really know what this is. I just started painting and this is what turned out. It's my favorite of the day.

APARENTLY I'M A BELLA... GUESS I NEED TO READ THE TWILIGHT BOOKS NOW :)

You are observant, diplomatic and often aim to please. You are unaware of your
attractiveness and despite being uncomfortable with any form of attention, people enjoy your company. You can be impatient, stubborn and headstrong, but you are true to your word and mature for your age, often taking care of your family and enjoying a good book over chatting with girlfriends on the phone.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME??

K, this is very much a venting moment. My sweet, adorable, most the time pleasant boy... IS AT TIMES THE PICKIEST PERSON I'VE EVER MET! Especially with his sleeping routine... It is rare that he will sleep anywhere but his own crib. And when we put him down, he needs his bottle in one hand, and in the other he holds his passy and the blanky tag. For some reason it's suthing to him to suck the tag under his passy. If he doesnt have one of those, he is a wreck. BUT TODAY, he wore out his last pacifier. Now, we had seen this coming so we bought another pack. Little to our knowledge, we bought size 2 instead of size 1. Nick will not take it for the life of him. He has been screaming for just over an hour 1/2 now. I've tried everything! I tried holding him and rubbing his back to even calm him down, from this obvious tramatic and heartwrenching experience. Singing to him. UGH! What a joke. Ok, time to stop venting. Wish us luck!

JESUS LOVES YOU

We have a picture of Jesus in our front hall and the one posted here above Nick's crib. When we bring Nick past them we tell him who it is and that Jesus loves him (especially when he's fussy and such). Well, today Nick had a fussy moment and I told him "Nick where's Jesus? Jesus loves you so much." And he walked to the picture of Christ on our wall and pointed to him and said "Jes"! Oh, it filled my heart with so much joy!! There's just something about little children and Christ that just makes you happy. My little boy knows who Jesus is!

**AWE**

What a sweetheart my husband is! I love just cuz flowers! He is so thoughtful. White is my favorite color rose. It came at a perfect time too. We have been preparing for the primary program over the past few weeks. We don't have many kids at all in the primary, it's small enough that they combine the who. But every practice we had seemed to be so unorganized and chaotic. We had our primary program yesterday, and it turned out amazing! The kids did a great job on their parts. I even got choked up a few times. It's funny to see how you grow to love the kids so much. It was a really sweet program. Clark and I used to join teach the 8-9 year old boys, we have 4 boys. But Clark got a new calling, so I will be there all alone. They are good boys. And I'm glad I can be a small part of their life, at least for a while. So, I realized a bit ago, Nickolas is gonna be in the Sunbeams in just over a year!!!!! How crazy is that? I can't believe how fast he has grown up. I can't even imagine him in the primary. But he is loving nursery. It's so funny to watch him. He is a lot like his Dad and Mom when it comes to groups. Just kind of laid back. Yesterday, we went to pick him up and he was standing by the table and 4 other kids running so fast around the table. It was just funny to see Nick. He didn't dare move anywhere. I love my boys!!
