JOLLEY'S RANCH CAMPING

So, we've been trying to get away on a camping trip for a little while now and finally got the opportunity. Nick had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa Call's again. (Thanks guys!) So we made our way up to Jolley's Ranch up Hobble Creek Canyon and camped at the cutest little spot. We set up camp, waded in the river and played some cards. Then it got crazy from there. First off, there was 4 cows who decided to come walk in our camp site. Scared the heck out of me! Then we cooked our tin foil dinners... not quite long enough. Then went to bed (and forgot padding) So around 3, neither of us were asleep and we finally decided to buy padding. So in our pajamas we made our way to Walmart. Then we realized we were hungry from not having much of a dinner, a tradition of ours is to go to Denny's and have hot chocolate. So we went there and had breakfast and hot chocolate. So after our very eventful sleepless night, we made our way back to Jolley's Ranch around 5:30 am. Good news is, with our padding we slept till 9! LOL we had a great time!! It was for sure a crazy night though. And I cant wait to go again.

Just our couple picture.

Looking quite mischievous with fire...

Our little fire.

Our camp site had this beautiful waterfall right by us.

DARING NICKOLAS

Holy cow!! Nick is getting funner and funner at the park. We've gone a few times this week and he just gets so excited. He LOVES the slides. No, not the little ones... the BIG ONES!! He walks all the way up the big stairs. Sits himself down, and scoots himself off the slide. Each time he has the biggest grin on his face. He is such a brave boy! I always wonder how the other kids will treat him at the park with his glasses... It would just break my heart to see kids making fun of them. But to my surprise (and relief) there has been nothing like that! Today, one little boy saw Nick and watched him for a minute and said to me "he's cute." and then went on his way. LOL. It just made me happy. We forgot to bring his sippy with us this time so we brought him to the fountain go get a drink. He thought it was so fun. By the time we were done... About 5 min later, he was soaken clear down his belly! I was laughing so hard. What a funny kid.

BY THE RIVER

We went up the canyon to go on a evening walk. We didn't get far because of the fire at Bridal Veil, but we found a beautiful are that we fell in love with right by the river. There were ducks, and a big tree. We had a great time.
Nick and I right by the river.

Watching the ducks.

Our pretty little spot.

LEARNING WORDS, FINALLY!!

Nickolas is now just starting to form the words that we say. He's pretty funny. Most of the time he says the first half of the word then gets distracted. Anyway, he is trying more and more to talk and I just think it's so fun. Here are a list of the words he's working on...

Baby (whispers almost evertime)
Bye Bye (with waves)
Ball
Grandpa
Vroom (with cars)
Uh-oh
Owe
Wow
Banana
Please
Dada
Bath (his favorite time of the day)
Gigle Gigle (trying to say Tickle Tickle, with tickiling motion)

DRESSING UP LIKE DADDY

Nick wanted to go to work with Dad the other day. Pretty cute. :)

PAYSON LAKE AND SOUTH FORK FUN

Here are some more pictures from when my family was in town. We had a lot of fun. There are a lot of random pictures in here, but that's how it goes :) We miss you all!!

We had so much fun playing games and eating tin foil dinners up South Fork.

Uncle Chris and Uncle Nate with Nickolas at South Fork.

YUM YUM!! Isn't mud the greatest? (Payson Lake)

Playing in the cold Payson Lake water with Grandpa.

Look at that grin. :D

You can't see it, although he has a tennis ball behind his ear. He LOVES throwing balls. I think hes gonna play baseball like his Uncle Nate.

Splashing in puddles.

YOUR MEMORIES OF ME...

This could be really embarrassing, but lets go for it...

1. Leave one memory that you and I had together, as a comment on my blog. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.
